Sedona Real Estate Market Trends
Since the Summer of 2006 the Sedona real estate market has experienced volatility which has not been seen since the mid-1980s. From 1990 to 2004 the Sedona real estate market was considered a highly insulated and stable environment offering a general 5% to 8% home appreciation annually. With the emotionally based surge in real estate purchases during 2004 and 2005, however, even Sedona succumbed to declining values as the national real estate market made its necessary adjustments. The Sedona real estate market appears to be rattling around the bottom as prices and sales stabilize. With rising interest rates, buyers should consider this a prime time to take advantage of low values. Even if prices continue to fall, the savings may be lost through higher mortgage payments because of the higher interest rates.
